The EMF Observatory kicks off in Paris!

After Marseille and Nantes, EXEM is continuing to roll out its Electromagnetic Field Observatory in Paris. EXEM recently installed its first three sensors in Paris, in the ^8th arrondissement, at the initiative of the French National Frequencies Agency (ANFR) and in partnership with the City of Paris. Objective: to carry out measurements to monitor fluctuations in levels of exposure to electromagnetic fields over time.

As with the residents of the first cities to benefit from the EMF Observatory, Parisians who wish to do so will have continuous access to all the results measured at www.observatoiredesondes.com. This system, the result of an R&D project designed and developed by EXEM, is designed to help local authorities provide answers to questions from the general public about their exposure to electromagnetic fields. It is based on the deployment of a network of very low-speed communicating sensors that make the data accessible as and when required (several measurements are taken every day).

In the context of the rapid digital transformation of our society, the EMF Observatory is an impartial and reliable tool for shedding light on the societal debate that pits economic development against environmental and public health concerns. To see the sensors deployed in Paris, click here
