The EMF Observatory at the Village of Connected Territories

As an independent laboratory with expertise in monitoring electromagnetic exposure, EXEM’s Innovation Division is involved in a number of R&D projects linked to connectivity: the city of the future, connected buildings, etc. EXEM’s engineers therefore saw it as an obvious choice to respond to the challenges facing towns and cities through a social science project linked to electromagnetic fields.

Thanks to the EMF Observatory, elected representatives, local authorities, urban planners and businesses will have the opportunity to discover an impartial and innovative solution that will shed light on the societal debate linked to economic development and public health concerns.

The EMF Observatory: technology at the service of local authorities and public services

Designed and developed by EXEM, the EMF Observatory is a platform for monitoring electromagnetic field exposure. Based on the deployment of a network of communicating sensors, the solution enables continuous monitoring of citizens’ exposure to electromagnetic fields.

Measurement results are updated in real time and made available to the general public on the dedicated website: www.observatoiresdesondes.com. This technology is designed to improve the quality of urban services, help local authorities deal with the issue of public exposure to electromagnetic fields, and respond to fluctuations in electromagnetic environments.

Innopolis Expo: good vibes on the programme

Much more than a trade show dedicated to innovative players, Innopolis Expo is first and foremost a complete ecosystem dedicated to territorial innovation. The programme includes lectures, workshops, guided tours, interviews and more. The show provides an overview of a wide range of ‘smart’ solutions and an opportunity to meet the experts behind them.

With this in mind, EXEM will be taking part in several workshops over two days, including a “customer testimonial” interview highlighting its collaboration with the Paris2Connect project. Participants will also be able to attend a round table dedicated to Smart City sensors and even check their electromagnetic field exposure at the show in real time!
